About Tom
I am a freelance percussionist studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. I am an experienced performer & tutor, and enjoy tutoring the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain in addition to private tuition. I regularly enjoy pit & orchestral work, performing with some of the top ensembles and musicians in the country, most recently with the Halle Orchestra. I have held contracted positions in various top ensembles, including the world famous Black Dyke Band, and I am lucky to gain weekly work with Orchestras around the country.

As a private tutor in Drum kit & Percussion, my aim is to equip my students with what they need to become competent performers, whether this is just for fun or as a career in performing. This is achieved through various methods, focusing on technique & sound quality in addition to building up general musicianship, with the aim of applying this into solo &/or ensemble situations.
