About Saskia

I am a 19 year old student who's currently studying veterinary medicine at the University of Liverpool. I have a passion for helping people and animals, which is why I enjoy tutoring. Science has always been one of my main interests and I have really enjoyed studying it, as I like that there's always an answer and way to use it to our benefit. I'm looking to encourage students to ask questions and be curious about science, to not only help boost their grade but to enjoy studying it.

My lessons are bespoke to each students, their goals and their preferred style of learning. Before we get into the hard work I believe that it's important to make sure that we're on the same page and I understand exactly what areas of the course they need help in. Then I will create lesson based around their specific course and specification to ensure that we cover everything we need to. I encourage students to ask me questions and speak up if they don't understand something. I think exam style questions are very important so in the last 10 mins of each lesson we will go over some exam style questions together, then I will leave you with a goal or some before the next lesson. Teaching revision techniques for students to do on their own is important to me so I will introduce students to techniques such as blurting and other active recall techniques.

Each lesson is 1 hour and your first lesson is free.
