About Kurtis
I’m Kurtis, a passionate chess player and aspiring full-time coach. I hold a First-Class BSc in Mathematics from a UK university and have experience teaching both mathematics and chess. Ranked in the top 1% of online players, I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, practical lessons. My chess lessons are clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s level. A typical session lasts 60 minutes and includes practical exercises, game analysis, and live play. With a top 1% (1800) Rapid rating on chess.com, First-Class BSc in Mathematics and experience tutoring students of different ages, I focus on making chess fun, engaging, and easy to understand. Lessons are suitable for beginners through intermediate players who want to improve tactics, strategy, and overall confidence on the board.
