About Cody
Earning a bachelors degree in music performance (B.M., 3rd year of studies) at Florida State University; have been playing clarinet for a total of 10 years. Performed in many honor bands, at solo and ensemble festivals (earned superiors at state level), and have held principal positions in the university bands and the Philharmonia Orchestra at FSU. Currently studying under Dr. Deborah Bish, studied under Dr. Jonathan Holden for first two years of undergraduate studies.

My approach to teaching has a focus on fundamentals of clarinet playing and mechanics, from developing your own tonal concept and musicality, to refining your technique. My goal is to provide you a solid foundation, so that you can better focus on making meaningful musical choices. Each student is unique and has different wants and needs, and as such, require attention to different aspects of their playing; I fully intend to create a lesson plan with your needs in mind, to better help you achieve your playing goals and improve you as not only a clarinetist, but a musician.
