About Jenna
I am a qualified secondary science teacher currently working in an independent school, where I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and GCSE. This has given me a strong understanding of the curriculum, as well as the knowledge and skills needed for students to succeed in their exams.
I am passionate about teaching and particularly enjoy helping students develop confidence in subjects they may initially find challenging. I chose to offer tutoring because it allows me to support students on a more individual level, adapting my teaching to suit their specific needs and helping them make real progress. Whether a student is aiming to secure a pass or achieve the highest grades, I find it incredibly rewarding to see their understanding grow over time.
My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks in their learning. Alongside improving grades, I want students to leave sessions feeling more confident, independent and prepared for their future studies.

I take a clear, structured and supportive approach to tutoring, with a strong focus on building both understanding and confidence. My teaching is tailored to each student, ensuring that lessons are accessible while still providing appropriate challenge. I use a combination of explanation, guided practice and exam-style questions, regularly checking for understanding and addressing misconceptions as they arise. I place a particular emphasis on developing exam technique and helping students understand how to apply their knowledge effectively.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the needs of the student.
I am a qualified science teacher with experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and GCSE level. I have experience preparing students for assessments and supporting a range of abilities, including those aiming for higher grades and those needing additional support.
My lessons are suitable for students aged 11–16, particularly those studying KS3 or GCSE science. I welcome students of all abilities and aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.
