About Dona
I am a second year a level student. I scored full marks in one of my English literature GCSE papers and only lost 5 marks in the second. Overall I achieved 5 grade 8’s (A*) and 5 grade 9’s (A* Distinction) at GCSE. I am predicted 3 A*s in my alevel subjects as well - English literature, maths and biology. I love to teach and always I have, I hope to be a professor after I earn my PHD in English at university. Teaching is a passion and an art, no student learns in the same way, this understanding comes from being a student at state school.

I am to tailor my lessons according to the student. Visual, audio, reading/writing or kinesthetic learners are all welcomed. Myself, I love to use all 4 types of learning before I commit a topic to memory and fully understand it. Hence my experience in these areas will allow me to connect with a student’s prior struggles in understanding a topic and help them to fully grasp areas they are unsure of. Homework, though highly protested by most school students I find, is the ideal way of retaining information into long term memory. Hence I will be checking homework and grading consistently to provide up to date and replace my feedback on the student’s work.
