About Karissa
I am a yoga and meditation teacher. I believe that attaining bodily alignment through a safe yoga practice can aid in healing all traumas emotionally and physically. I received my meditation certification from Lifestyle Meditation with Mandy Trapp in Vancouver and my yoga teacher certification from Gyan Yoga in Toronto. My philosophy for teaching is simple - I always teach with love, empathy, patience and humility.

I teach Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin style yoga as I believe they can encompass all the goodness that yoga has to offer. A typical class with me would start with breathing techniques, gentle movements and then we'd gradually move into poses with a little more energy. We would slow it down to end the class and finish off with a reassuring and relaxing meditation. My classes are great for students at any level as I offer many options for every pose.

I met Karissa through a friend and I thought she had a very calming demeanour upon first meeting. My friend and I took her Vinyasa Flow class and absolutely loved it. I feel like her class was a well rounded class. She incorporated breathing techniques, carefully selected poses and meditation into her class and she gave one on one adjustments which I found helpful. I would highly recommend Karissa to my family and friends.
