I’ve trained students across a wide age range and ability levels, using an approach that is thoughtful, engaging, and progress-oriented. My background includes chamber ensemble performance, solo recitals, and ongoing study in music pedagogy. This blend of experience allows me to give students a well-rounded understanding of musical phrasing, practice strategies, and artistic confidence. Violin lessons begin with fundamental posture, finger placement, and sound production. Students develop a sense of rhythm and pitch using basic melodies and scale patterns. Regular tuning and ear-training exercises are included from the start. As skills progress, students explore shifting, vibrato, and bowing techniques suited for a range of styles from classical to folk. Lessons incorporate duets, solo work, and musical storytelling to encourage confident playing and personal expression.
