About Mari
I am a piano teacher with over 14 years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, which gives me a strong foundation in both technique and musicality. My teaching philosophy centers on active participation and understanding the musical intent behind each piece. I believe in developing well-rounded musicianship by combining history, theory, technique, and creativity in every lesson. I adapt my approach to fit the unique needs of each student, ensuring lessons are engaging and effective. Whether you are a beginner just starting out or an advanced player looking to refine your skills, I am here to guide you. I have also worked with professional and expert-level students, helping them reach new heights in their playing. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel inspired to explore music deeply. Learning piano should be both challenging and enjoyable. My piano teaching approach is designed to make learning fun and rewarding for both kids and adults. I focus on building strong technique through clear guidance and consistent practice habits. I also support students interested in jazz by exploring improvisation and rhythm in a way that feels natural and exciting. Every lesson is personalized to suit your pace and style, whether you’re starting fresh or refining your skills.
