About Purna

As a dedicated and experienced tutor with a Master's degree in Mathematics, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. My six years as an SAT private tutor in India, coupled with my role as a teaching assistant at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, have equipped me with the skills to effectively teach and mentor students. I have successfully guided numerous students through complex mathematical concepts, enabling them to excel in their studies. My teaching methods are tailored to each student's needs, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. I am patient, approachable, and always ready to provide individualized support. You can trust in my professionalism and dedication to your success. Together, we will build a strong foundation in mathematics and boost your confidence in tackling challenging problems.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach focuses on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment tailored to each student's needs. I utilize a blend of interactive teaching methods and techniques, including problem-solving sessions, visual aids, and real-life applications of mathematical concepts to make learning more relatable and enjoyable. A typical lesson plan starts with a brief review of previous material, followed by the introduction of new topics, interactive practice problems, and a summary of key points. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students, understand their unique learning styles, and adapt my teaching accordingly. I emphasize critical thinking and encourage students to ask questions and explore concepts deeply. My lessons are designed for high school and undergraduate students, focusing on subjects such as calculus, algebra, and SAT math preparation. I aim to build a solid foundation in mathematics, boosting students' confidence and academic performance. My extensive experience and passion for teaching ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support, making their learning experience both effective and enjoyable.
