Joana is a phenomenal teacher. She's patient, understanding and takes an interest in teaching in a way that works for you. She is unfailingly kind and understanding if you ever have to move a class. She is also very flexible in hours and has been amazing in fitting my schedule.

I've really enjoyed my (German) lessons with Joana. Our lessons are a lot of fun, and I'm making great progress thanks largely to the way Joana adapts her teaching style to my needs and level. She has a deep understanding of the language, and is able to explain things clearly.

Joana is the perfect teacher. Joana is passionate, very patient, highly knowledgeable, solidly capable and extremely resourceful as she uses multiple methods and media in her teaching/learning techniques including the use of formal language textbooks, books (including short stories and novels), videos and films! The classes are often designed to target various language skills such as reading, listening and conversational. All of this helped me develop my language, via online classes, from beginners to intermediate levels within few months. I started by only reading small paragraphs (often very stressed, slow, not understanding what I am reading, and out of language tone/music), but now I can read complex books such as “Sofies Welt” with ease! I even get the opportunity to discuss deep/complex ideas and thoughts within the class. I highly recommend Joana.

I'm having German classes with Joanna and I'm having a great time, we focus on real life use more than pure grammar cramming. Things like reading texts, where usually are bland and uninteresting, we read memes, that gives insight to German culture and are fun at the same time. Having classes with her feels like chatting with a friend.
I'd very much recommend her classes and intend on keep going steadily.
