About Benjamin
I am a passionate piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach emphasizes critical thinking, musicality, and individualized learning tailored to each student’s goals. I believe in holistic musical development, integrating music theory, ear training, history, and technique into every lesson. My lessons are designed to strengthen both technical skills and artistic expression. I have guided students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as aspiring Professional and Expert pianists. Each session is interactive, encouraging curiosity and exploration while building confidence at the keyboard. I focus on nurturing creativity, helping students connect emotionally with the music they play. Sight-reading, improvisation, and performance skills are also emphasized to prepare students for real-world musical challenges. I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning paces and personal interests, ensuring every student thrives. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for music while fostering discipline and self-expression. I invite students to embark on their piano journey with confidence, curiosity, and creativity. My piano teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while nurturing a love for music. I guide students in developing solid keyboard techniques, hand coordination, and finger strength. I integrate music theory into practical exercises, so students can immediately apply concepts while playing. Performance skills are emphasized, preparing students to play confidently in front of an audience. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace and goals, whether they are beginning their musical journey or aiming for advanced proficiency. Creative expression is encouraged, allowing students to explore different styles like classical, jazz, pop, soul, and R&B. Sight-reading, improvisation, and composition are also incorporated to broaden musical understanding. I focus on consistent practice habits, goal setting, and self-motivation, helping students progress steadily. Every lesson is interactive, supportive, and tailored to inspire confidence. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and joy in music, ensuring students feel accomplished and motivated. My goal is to help each student excel and enjoy every step of their piano journey.
