About Lance
With 14 years of experience teaching piano to high school and college students, I am deeply committed to providing personalized, engaging lessons that cater to each student’s unique learning style and musical interests. My approach focuses on building a solid foundation of technique while encouraging creativity and musical expression. I believe in adapting my teaching methods to suit individual needs, whether a student is looking to master classical pieces, explore contemporary styles, or enhance their improvisation skills. Clear communication is central to my approach; I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and ensure students feel comfortable asking questions at any stage.
I approach each student with compassion, understanding that everyone learns at their own pace. I create a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process, and progress is celebrated. I use problem-solving techniques to help students overcome challenges and improve their technique, whether it's mastering a difficult piece or refining their musical expression. Beyond piano, I offer lessons in related subjects, providing a well-rounded musical education. My goal is to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for music while gaining the skills and confidence to play the piano with passion and joy.
