About Dollie

I've been teaching Computer Application Technology for almost seven years. I have a Bachelor of Education degree, specializing in the Senior and FET phases (Grades 8–12). I am a patient and attentive listener who is friendly, caring, and honest, making it easy for others to feel comfortable and supported.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is practical, learner-centred, and supportive. I begin by demonstrating concepts step by step using practical examples, and then guide learners as they complete similar tasks on their own. What makes me unique is my patience, strong listening skills, and ability to adapt lessons to each learner’s pace and needs. I focus on building confidence by creating a calm, encouraging learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions.

Languages:
I am proficient in and able to teach in English and Afrikaans.

What students can expect from a typical lesson:
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the learner is struggling with. If the learner is unsure of their weak areas, I will provide a baseline assessment to pinpoint gaps in understanding. The lesson then focuses on targeted practice, clear explanations, and hands-on exercises to strengthen those areas.

Target students:
My lessons are aimed at Grade 10 to 12 learners who are struggling with the practical component of Computer Applications Technology (CAT), particularly those who need extra support, revision, or exam preparation.
