About Laverna
"Patience defines my character when guiding students through the intricacies of attacking play and complex pawn structures. 423 students have benefited from my focus on pattern recognition and time management skills.
I view the board as a map that requires careful planning rather than just reactive moves. My background includes extensive work with players looking for deep game analysis of their own matches. I find joy in teaching the nuances of how pieces interact under pressure. Does your current game plan provide the consistency you require to move forward?"

"You will find that analyzing your own matches is the fastest way to improve your chess ability. Drawing from my 10.0 rated background and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Stanford University, I help you isolate tactical errors quickly. We talk through your moves to ensure you understand the why behind every decision. My 13 years of experience means I have likely seen your specific mistakes before.
I explain these concepts using clear and logical steps rather than confusing jargon. You can expect a conversational, structured, and highly observant environment that prioritizes your actual growth on the board."
