About Catherine
I am a singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education, specializing in voice. My passion lies in working with choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony training. I focus on styles such as Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop, helping singers develop rich and balanced vocal blends. I am skilled in sight singing, solfège, part-singing, and rehearsal leadership, which allows me to guide groups effectively and confidently. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of leading school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups to achieve remarkable progress. My approach emphasizes musicality, teamwork, and clear communication within the ensemble. I believe that singing is not only a skill but a joyful shared experience. My goal is to help each group member improve their vocal abilities while fostering a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you are new to singing or an experienced vocalist, I tailor my teaching to suit your needs. Together, we explore technique, expression, and harmony to create beautiful music. Incorporate challenges like improvisation or interpreting lyrics differently each time. Progress is tracked by comparing recordings over weeks, making growth visible and rewarding.
