About David

I am a software professional with extensive experience in software design and architecture, working on complex systems where long-term maintainability and clarity are essential. Over the years, I have applied architectural patterns such as Domain-Driven Design and Hexagonal Architecture in real production environments, helping teams align technical solutions with business needs. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share not just how to write code, but how to think about software. My goal is to help students develop strong design intuition, confidence in architectural decisions, and a deeper understanding of why certain approaches work better over time. I value clear communication, patience, and adapting my explanations to each student’s background and goals.

I am a tutor specialised in Software Design and Software Architecture, with a strong focus on real-world, professional practice. My lessons cover Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, SOLID principles, domain-oriented design, and making sound architectural decisions over time. My approach is highly practical: we work with real examples, guided refactoring, and discussion of architectural trade-offs. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level and goals. Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes and are suitable for advanced students, junior developers, senior engineers, or technical professionals looking to strengthen their design skills. The goal is to build maintainable, understandable software that stays aligned with business needs, beyond frameworks or short-lived trends.
