About Lily
Fluency emerges when you stop translating in your head and start thinking in the target language. Most students assume that grammar must be the starting point, but I prefer to integrate it through listening practice and reading comprehension. Because I hold an MA in Translation Studies, I approach these sessions with a focus on how meaning shifts across linguistic boundaries.
We explore cultural context to ensure your conversational practice feels relevant to your travel or relocation needs. My method relies on consistent role play to help you master French intonation. I provide a calm and methodical environment where we dismantle difficult linguistic barriers together.

Language learning often begins with an unexpected fascination for how sounds connect rather than just memorizing vocabulary lists. I have supported countless learners, including kids, hobbyists, and individuals focused on relocation. My MA in Translation Studies from Kent State University allows me to bridge the gap between simple fluency and true cultural competence. Having taught 150 students over 19 years, I see how the multilingual mind processes new linguistic structures differently.
My own path was defined by a constant desire to understand the mechanics behind translation. I enjoy guiding students as they navigate the nuances of liaison and nasal sounds. You will soon reach a level of comfort that allows you to engage with French culture authentically.
