About Bobbye

Transitioning from professional music performance into teaching meant taking those rigid industry habits and softening them for the studio. I hold an MMus in Piano Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, which informs how I balance technique with musical judgment. Working with students on everything from accompaniment skills, rhythm, and timing to complex pedaling technique, I keep the focus sharp.

I also cover memorization techniques, grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity, jazz improvisation, chord voicing, ear training, and sight playing. Whether we are digging into classical repertoire or finding your own sound, I build a routine you can keep up without me. You will find my approach prioritizes knowing when to play a note as much as knowing how to play it.

Stiff wrists and uneven rhythm often ruin a perfectly good piece of music before you even reach the middle section. I address this by mapping outyour goals during a free trial lesson, giving us a Clear path forward from the start.

With 11 years of experience, I know how to break down the technical demands of the piano into manageable steps. My training at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music ensures we never waste time on fluff.

We focus on the core mechanics of your playing so you can actually enjoy the music you are making. I provide an 8.0 level of intensity to push your skills forward while keeping the atmosphere energetic. Are you ready to see how your practice can shift?
