About Willa
Starting with formal grammar usually feels backward when you want to speak right away. Focusing on dialogue practice allows us to build real confidence through simple role play. I use 13 years of gigging experience to bring authentic everyday phrases into our time together.
The beginners I work with often find that mimicking song lyrics makes pronunciation much easier. We will spend time on interview preparation and common speech patterns that you hear around town.
Do not worry about mistakes because they are just part of the process. I like to keep things relaxed so you feel comfortable finding your voice. My approach is all about making the language feel like a natural extension of your daily life. You will find that speaking French becomes much less daunting after just a few sessions.

Picking up the language while playing the local chanson circuit happened quite naturally over 13 years. Teaching kids and newcomers has shown me that starting from scratch requires patience and a steady pace. It helps that I have worked with over 400 students who needed help with their relocation or immigration status.
