About Penelope
Teaching exists because I see how complex data becomes manageable when broken down. You will find that my approach specifically targets career switchers and bookkeeping beginners who want to master financial statements, depreciation methods, and bank reconciliation. QuickBooks basics and payroll accounting are also core components of my instruction. I hold an MBA in Accounting from Columbia Business School.
My 3 years of experience allow me to simplify intricate concepts like accounts payable and receivable. Managing closing entries and balanced ledgers becomes second nature after we drill the basics. I work with students ranging from university freshmen to professionals. Seeing that lightbulb moment when a complex ledger finally balances is truly the most enjoyable part of my job.
