About Aurora
With 9 years of piano teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano, I guide students on a journey of musical growth and discovery. My teaching approach emphasises critical thinking, musicality, and individualised learning, ensuring each student develops their unique voice at the piano. I believe in holistic development, combining music theory, ear training, history, and technique to create well-rounded musicians. Lessons are designed to strengthen both technical skills and expressive interpretation. I have worked with students ranging from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as Professional and Expert learners. By focusing on understanding music deeply rather than just memorising pieces, I help students gain confidence and creativity at every stage. Each lesson is tailored to meet individual goals, whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal growth. My aim is to inspire a lifelong passion for music and foster independence at the keyboard. Students leave lessons equipped not only with skill but also with the joy and curiosity to explore music freely. Together, we build a strong foundation while nurturing imagination and expression. My piano lessons focus on building strong foundations while keeping learning fun and engaging. I guide students from beginner to advanced levels, tailoring lessons to their goals and pace. Each lesson combines technique, theory, and practical application. I emphasise sight-reading skills early, helping students confidently play new pieces. Improvisation is encouraged, allowing students to explore creativity and develop their own musical voice. I integrate progress tracking to ensure steady improvement and set achievable milestones. Technology plays an important role in my teaching. I use virtual piano apps and metronomes to strengthen rhythm, accuracy, and practice efficiency. Lessons also cover different musical styles, from classical to jazz, pop, and R&B. For students aiming for exams or performances, I provide structured guidance and detailed feedback. I focus on building confidence and performance readiness while supporting each student’s unique journey. Patience, encouragement, and consistent practice form the core of my methodology. Every lesson is designed to inspire passion and dedication, helping students excel both technically and creatively.
