20 year self taught veteran here. I believe learning music should be fun, you only get better if you practice and you only practice if its fun and you look forward to it. I will access skill level and go from there, teach what the student wants to learn at the same time making sure of proper technique and no bad habits. I have a few years of experience off and on teaching. Ive had about a dozen students that all learned something
