About Jessica
I love literature, especially talking about literature with students who want to learn more about it, and want to learn how to be successful in upper level literature classes. I have over 15 years experience teaching high school English, Philosophy, and AP Literature in the Los Angeles-area, as well as a curriculum advisor for the school district. I worked with a variety of students with various skill levels, and I was often specifically given struggling students in my AP Lit classes, with a goal to raise their incoming assessment score by at least 1 by the end of the year. I had about a 70-80% pass rate on the AP Lit exam, and I also have many years of experience helping students with their college application essays, term papers, or other reading and writing assignments, including supporting college students with their essays and term papers.
I've worked with students just like you for a long time, and I promise I can make the AP exam and your essays feel a lot less scary!
