About Gideon
Kia ora, I’m Gideon! For two years I was the Year 2–5 kaiako at a local Primary School here in Taumarunui. I live for that moment when a child’s eyes light up because they’ve just cracked a tricky word or written their first full sentence. With a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Learning (Massey 2025), a BA in Education, and hands-on experience with neurodiverse and Māori/Pākehā tamariki, I teach because I believe every child deserves to feel capable, seen, and proud of their learning. I can’t wait to help your tamaiti shine too!

Kia ora! I’m Gideon. I have had the privilege of being a kaiako to Year two to five's at a rural Primary School in Taumarunui. I have extensive knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and love nothing more than helping tamariki unlock the magic of reading, writing and spelling. Lessons are relaxed, encouraging and completely tailored to your child, using games, stories and digital tools that spark joy in learning. I weave in tikanga Māori and make every session culturally safe and fun. In-person in Taumarunui or online anywhere in Aotearoa. Let’s help your child shine!
