About Ni

Hi! I'm Ni Yang, a passionate Chinese language instructor committed to making language learning engaging and effective. I aim to teach not just the Chinese language, but also its rich culture, helping students build confidence in communication. My goal is to inspire a deep appreciation for both the language and its cultural context.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm Ni Yang, a passionate Chinese language instructor with a focus on delivering engaging and interactive lessons designed to inspire a deep interest in the Chinese language and culture.

My Teaching Techniques and Methodology
I use a student-centered approach, emphasizing real-life communication skills and cultural context. My lessons combine traditional language learning methods, such as vocabulary and grammar drills, with creative exercises like role-playing, storytelling, and multimedia resources. I also incorporate interactive activities, games, and cultural discussions to make learning more immersive and fun.

Typical Lesson Length
Each lesson typically lasts 60-90 minutes, depending on the student’s schedule and goals. This timeframe allows for a balanced mix of instruction, practice, and interactive activities.

Qualifications and Experience
I graduated from Lanzhou University with a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, providing me with a strong linguistic foundation. I'm currently pursuing a PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London. With years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with students of various levels and backgrounds, helping them achieve their language goals.

Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for learners of all levels—whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your fluency. I welcome students of all ages, from young learners to adults, who are interested in mastering the Chinese language and gaining cultural insights.
