About Willow
My name is Willow and I grew up in the Coachella Valley, CA! Although nowadays you will often find me on the rugby field, my first true passion was always reading! I completed my Dual BA/MA in English in four years at Yale University at the top of my class. I've taken a myriad of literature classes, from Medieval to Modernist to Marxist. I've also attended a variety of creative writing camps and classes, and enjoy both creative and non-fiction writing.

As your tutor, I will work collaboratively with you to ensure you fully understand class texts (whether it be fiction or non fiction) and from there we will work on your essay writing. I typically encourage free writes, first round editing, second round editing, and then a final round of editing. However, this is flexible depending on the goal---if you are seeking to creatively write, my assignments and feedback might be different from those for a term essay. I also have extensive experience writing and editing college admission essays (both my siblings and my mother work in the industry). At Yale, I took a strong variety of courses and feel comfortable assisting students taking classes during any time period or literary movement.
