About Olivia
I've been working as an instructor since freshman year of high school, when I began my own courses teaching introductory Chinese at my local nonprofit Chinese school. Since then, I developed my passion for teaching exponentially. I began teaching a variety of math classes ranging from pre-algebra to AP Calculus BC, while continually developing my Chinese classes and teaching up to AP Chinese Language and Culture. In school, I was a faculty-endorsed peer tutor for the math department, tutoring up to 5 students individually each semester, including the school principal's children.
In college, I've continued teaching as an extracurricular. Last semester, I worked as a Senior Counselor for the local organization Leadership Education & Athletics Partnership (LEAP), where I taught elementary and middle schoolers basic literacy and math skills. Currently, I am an educator for an organization based in Princeton, teaching a class on Model UN Fundamentals & Strategies.
However, I miss working with students on an individual, one-to-one basis, and hence I'm looking forward to meeting new students here!

What I love about teaching is how much I love to see students grow and have fun. My lessons go beyond interactive, since I like to include fun little exercises that are meant to actively engage students' critical thinking and problem solving skills beyond the lesson content. No matter what subject I'm teaching, my objective is to build fluency and interest in the subject.
