About Kathy
I provide professional, respectful, and structured tutoring for adult learners who want to strengthen their reading, writing, literature, academic English, or communication skills. My approach is clear, patient, and practical. I begin by identifying each student’s goals and current needs, then design focused lessons that build skill and confidence one step at a time.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, structured, and strengths-based. I help students become stronger readers, writers, and thinkers by breaking complex tasks into clear steps and teaching practical strategies for comprehension, analysis, organization, revision, and self-expression. A typical lesson includes a check-in, review of previous work, a focused skill lesson, guided practice, independent application, feedback, and next steps.

I support middle school, high school, college, adult, and English language learners in literature, writing, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, college essays, creative writing, and academic communication. My goal is to help students gain skill, confidence, independence, and a stronger sense of themselves as capable learners.
