About Paul
An MA Languages and PGCE might suggest a rigid approach, but my classroom operates quite differently. Having spent 13 years in education, I find that standard labels often fail to capture how diverse minds actually process linguistic nuances. I work extensively with working professionals, kids, and adult learners who require a flexible teacher. My specific focus includes accent and intonation refinement, conversational fluency, and complex verb conjugation.
By integrating cultural context, I help students bridge the gap between textbook grammar and authentic usage. Many of my students come to me after feeling stuck in traditional academic settings. I enjoy helping people navigate the specific challenges of listening practice and reading comprehension.
Business French requires a particular precision that I bring to every interaction. My goal is to ensure you feel confident in your target language journey.

A clean, white page awaits us during our initial diagnostic level test before we build the plan. This first session provides a sensory snapshot of your current comfort with French phonetics and sentence structure. I use the first meeting to observe how you approach new vocabulary so I can adjust my methods accordingly. Through my 13 years of teaching, I have learned that adults and working professionals learn best when they can see their own progression mapped out clearly.
We will explore role play and dialogue practice as a way to lower the stakes of conversation. My background allows me to simplify complex grammatical rules for students of all ages. You will see how accent work and conversational fluency become natural extensions of our regular dialogue. Building your skills happens naturally when we prioritize your individual learning cadence over arbitrary timelines.
