About Ada

Hi! My name is Ada and I graduated from High School in 2019. I currently study at Uni for my Bachelors of Communication Design (previously a Diploma of Design).

Despite my design background, English has been my strong suit all throughout school. My NAPLAN results have always been at the highest bands, as well as my essay and sac results being highly scored. I believe what really made me a good English student is that I found it genuinely interesting and fun. My main hope as your tutor is that I will be able to teach you how to enjoy English so that you are happy to learn, which will result in you being better at the subject.

About the lesson

I am best suited to tutoring primary and early high school level English subjects, specifically for students who are not confident with the subjects. Wether it’s because you can’t quite grasp the concepts like the other students, or if your inability to relate to the subject makes you unwilling to study, my lessons will leave you just that little bit more excited and prepared for your English subjects.

What I specialise as an English tutor:

• making reading (no matter what the genre is) fun, or at the very least more interesting than it was before
• bringing out creativity through your writing that you didn’t realise you had
• giving experienced advice and run-downs in upgrading your oral presentation skills such as: projection, expression and confidence

As a tutor I am confident in my abilities to:

• create a safe and healthy learning environment so that you feel comfortable with asking me any questions
• in general create good rapport by relating to you as an individual
• being able to adapt lessons based off of how you learn best (understanding what is your engagement and knowledge retention style)
• build confidence in how you approach your English subjects, anything between comprehension or creativity

I run 60 minute lessons with an optional 10 min break (tutoring lesson will go 10 minutes into overtime at no extra cost).
