About Rhett
With over 6 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in French for Global Communication, I specialize in helping adult learners achieve their language goals in professional contexts. My passion lies in teaching French tailored to the art world—supporting gallerists, collectors, curators, and other creative professionals. Each session is purpose-driven and built around real-life scenarios from the art market. I incorporate interactive role-plays for client meetings, sales, and exhibition tours. We dive into the language of appraisals, provenance, and artistic mediums with clarity and precision. I help students speak fluently about movements like Impressionism, Surrealism, and Contemporary Art. My lessons include practical dialogues, guided readings, and vocabulary enrichment to reflect the evolving global art landscape. I take time to understand each learner’s background and professional focus. This allows me to create personalized learning paths that build confidence and ease in high-stakes conversations. Whether you're preparing for an art fair or simply navigating a gallery opening in Paris, I’ll help you communicate naturally and effectively. Together, we’ll expand your ability to express your vision and expertise in French. Let’s master the language of the international art world—one conversation at a time.

My French teaching approach focuses on developing high-level thinking and deep language fluency. I guide learners through complex topics such as philosophy, abstract concepts, and critical analysis. We work with academic texts, essays, and debates to expand both vocabulary and expression. I help students understand how to express abstract and nuanced ideas clearly in French. Whether you’re analyzing a quote from Rousseau or crafting a persuasive argument, my lessons are designed to challenge and inspire.
I use structured writing prompts, guided discussions, and modeled essays to build confidence in formal writing. I also include exercises to strengthen grammar, coherence, and style. Learners gain tools for both speaking and writing about big ideas with clarity. I especially support those seeking to grow in both academic performance and personal enrichment.
I tailor lessons to individual goals and make room for curiosity. There’s space for questions, open reflection, and slow thinking. Each lesson builds your capacity for deep understanding and precise communication. We'll explore complex ideas together in fluent, thoughtful French.
