About Isla
I am a Maths tutor with 8 years of experience and an MSc in Statistics and Data Science. My speciality is teaching statistics and probability as tools for research and real-world data analysis. I cover core areas like hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and data visualisation. To make lessons practical, I bring in software such as R and Python and work with real datasets. This approach allows students to see how statistical concepts are applied in real situations. I believe statistics is most useful when students can connect theory to meaningful problems. My lessons are interactive and problem-driven, with a strong focus on building understanding. I also guide students to develop critical reasoning when interpreting results.
