About Rhea
Hi, I’m a piano tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. Music has always been my passion, and I especially love composing and songwriting. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and personalised, tailored to suit learners of all levels—school students, college students, adults, and professionals. I focus on building a strong foundation in chord theory, performance skills, sight-reading, and improvisation. Each lesson is designed to challenge and inspire, helping students develop both technical skill and musical expression. I have guided students from intermediate to advanced levels, as well as those at the professional and expert stage. I emphasise creativity and confidence, ensuring every student can explore their musical voice. Lessons are interactive and enjoyable, making learning both effective and inspiring. I integrate real-world examples and practical exercises to connect theory with actual playing. Whether you aim to perform, compose, or simply enjoy playing, I provide guidance every step of the way. I incorporate modern tools like DAWs and audio analysis apps to refine timing, dynamics, and overall sound quality. Students learn to critically listen to their own playing and identify areas for improvement. I guide them through challenging pieces, helping them master both technical skill and artistic interpretation. Whether preparing for exams, church performances, or complex recital pieces, I provide tailored guidance to help students excel. I support them in reaching high standards, nurturing both discipline and creativity. Lessons are structured yet flexible, adapting to each student’s pace and goals. My goal is for students to perform with confidence and musical maturity. By combining technique, expression, and technology, I help students not only play well but truly shine. Every session is a step toward achieving their performance potential.
