About Jude
Hi! I’m a piano tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, specializing in piano, and over nine years of teaching and performing experience. I blend academic training with practical experience across jazz, pop, and classical genres, giving my students a well-rounded understanding of music. I work with both school-aged students and adult learners, helping them achieve their goals, whether it’s improving technique, learning new styles, or performing confidently. My lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and interests, combining structured exercises with creative exploration. I focus on developing strong sight-reading, improvisation, and theory skills, while also encouraging musical expression and personal style. I incorporate tools like metronomes, ear training exercises, and digital resources to enhance learning and make practice engaging. My approach is supportive and student-centered, building both skill and confidence. I guide learners in developing strong sight-reading skills, improvisation, and chord knowledge while keeping sessions fun and interactive.
For students interested in church music or digital production, I provide focused guidance to help them excel in performance, arranging, and composing. I emphasize both discipline and creativity, encouraging exploration alongside technical growth. My approach nurtures confidence, expression, and a lasting love for the piano.
