About Mira
With over 10 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Molecular Biology, I’ve developed a deep passion for exploring the biological roots of behaviour. I specialise in ethology and animal behaviour studies, using these lenses to explain key concepts in evolutionary psychology and behavioural ecology. My lessons often centre on how instincts, learned behaviours, and survival strategies shape the lives of animals in the wild. I love teaching students about communication in animals—from complex social structures in primates to the subtle signals used by insects and birds. Understanding the why behind behaviour helps us see evolution in action. I make sure students grasp not only the theory but the real-world examples that bring it to life. Through the study of animal adaptations and behaviour, I guide learners to connect biological function with ecological success. We explore how environment shapes behaviour and how behaviour, in turn, drives survival. Whether it’s migration, mating displays, or parental care, every action has a story. I focus on nurturing curiosity and scientific thinking in every session. Let’s explore the animal kingdom together and uncover the fascinating ways life adapts, communicates, and thrives.

My teaching approach in biology is highly practical and student-focused. I emphasise clear understanding through the use of visual aids like diagrams, interactive illustrations, and real-life case studies.
