About Declan
With over 14 years of experience teaching piano, I offer personalized lessons designed to cater to students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching approach emphasizes building a strong foundation in technique, which is essential for achieving proficiency and confidence at the piano. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I provide tailored instruction to meet your individual needs and goals.
In addition to technical skills, I focus on improvisation and composition, encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop their unique musical voice. By incorporating these elements into lessons, I help students gain a deeper understanding of music and its possibilities. My goal is to foster a love for music and inspire students to express themselves through their piano playing.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about composing and performing music. I regularly engage in creative projects and enjoy experimenting with different styles and genres. This ongoing involvement in music allows me to bring fresh ideas and inspiration to my lessons, making each session engaging and dynamic. I also find joy in sharing my love for music with others, whether through performance or teaching, and continually strive to make the learning process enjoyable and rewarding for my students.
