About Dominica

I have successfully completed a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications and took up a job as a lecturer. During this period I have made every effort to understand the student. I have also studied various topics of psychology that enable building an understanding between student and teacher. I have worked as a teacher since my very first teaching job in 1986. Teaching is a passion and I enjoy the time spent with kids, making learning simpler and more fun, rather than an intimidating task. From teaching in regular school for many years, I started tutoring in 2005. I have tutored kids from all boards of education: State, CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE and IB. All of my students have started at grades 1 or 2 and completed Junior college while still studying with me. My mother tongue is English and I have an excellent command over the language.
I also teach Math for grades 1 to 10. Other subjects that I have taught are Social Studies, ICT, Global Perspective, and Environmental Studies - All Grades. Science up to grade - 7.

About the lesson

Having taught students in a Polytechnic I realized my keen interest and passion to teach younger kids too. I have been a teacher and tutor for all subjects except languages for almost 30 years. I believe that a kid should have the freedom of expression during a study session. Having empathy with the child is of utmost importance. Preparing the child for their existing syllabus with extra resources, expanding their knowledge on the subject. I would like to teach kids of the age group of Grade 1 to Grade 9
