Mr. Patterson was my Performing Arts teacher throughout middle school and my choir and theater director for many years. Working with him has allowed me to hone my skills as an actor and get more comfortable speaking in front of people. He is dedicated to his work and truly wants each student to have the best learning experience possible. He holds everyone to a high standard and is willing to do whatever it takes to help them reach that standard. He leads by example and will never expect anything of a student that he wouldn’t be willing and/or able to do himself. Over the years I have seen myself and other students grow in confidence because of Mr. Patterson’s encouragement and hard work. He shows daily that he cares about his students not only as students but as human beings. He is more than a teacher: he is a mentor and I know I can speak for myself and countless others when I say that we are all eternally grateful for what Mr. Patterson has taught us both in and out of the classroom.
