About Jovie
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies and a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy, with 6 years of experience teaching students of diverse ages and skill levels. My approach combines technical training, expressive exploration, and performance coaching. Lessons are designed to develop breath control, vocal placement, phrasing, tone quality, and expressive interpretation, allowing students to grow in confidence and skill.
I provide personalized guidance, constructive feedback, and supportive encouragement, ensuring students feel comfortable experimenting and exploring their unique vocal voice. My teaching philosophy emphasizes consistency, patience, and artistic growth, helping students achieve both technical precision and expressive freedom.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with performance, music theory, and contemporary vocal techniques. This allows me to integrate current styles, practical insights, and artistic trends into lessons. Witnessing students grow from beginners to confident, expressive singers is immensely rewarding. My mission is to cultivate skill, confidence, and a deep love for singing in every student.

Singing lessons are most effective when students combine technical skill with expressive artistry. I focus on breath control, vocal placement, phrasing, tone quality, interpretation, range development, and performance techniques. Lessons include exercises, vocal warm-ups, repertoire practice, improvisation, and performance guidance. I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel confident exploring their voice, understanding technique, and expressing emotion through music.
Beginners focus on proper breathing, posture, pitch accuracy, tone production, and simple repertoire. Intermediate learners refine phrasing, dynamic control, articulation, vocal range expansion, and expressive interpretation. Advanced learners work on advanced techniques, solo performance, improvisation, stylistic nuances, and audition preparation. Every session balances technical exercises, expressive development, and performance readiness, ensuring consistent growth and confidence.
Singing also builds discipline, emotional expression, and communication skills. Students gain self-confidence, control over their voice, and a deeper understanding of musical interpretation. My goal is to develop both technical mastery and artistic expression, fostering a lifelong appreciation and passion for vocal performance.
