About Kaela
I began the violin at age 4, and have been playing ever since. Over my career, I've gathered multiple achievements, such as soloing with the New York Philharmonic, winning a GRAMMY award with my orchestra (the New York Youth Symphony), and performing alongside world-class musicians from organizations like the MET Opera. I regularly perform at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, and Merkin Hall.
I hope to share my love of the violin with other students, and am dedicated to creating the best possible experience for young musicians.

Hi! My name is Kaela, and I've been playing the violin for 14 years. I started when I was 4, and immediately fell in love with the instrument. I'm passionate about getting kids to love playing, so that they can have fun practicing.
I have access to hundreds of etudes and other basic exercises for new students to utilize. I'm most comfortable with the Suzuki method of teaching progression, but can easily adapt if the student is more comfortable with another style of learning.
I'm open to teaching beginner and intermediate-level students, ages 5-14 (negotiable). I'm happy to work as a practice buddy or supplemental teacher as well -- whatever your preference may be! From learning how to read sheet music to working on more advanced techniques, I focus on maintaining a positive relationship between the student and their instrument.
