About Rory
I have played freelance violin and fiddle for the past 25 years. I have performed classical, Klezmer, Fado, worship music, bluegrass, Irish, and Scottish music for a wide variety of audiences. I enjoy the freedom of fiddle music and improvisation most of all and want to help my students find freedom and fulfillment in their playing too!

I began as a classically trained violinist, but fell in love with Celtic fiddle music and other non-traditional styles of fiddle. I would love to help any student interested in developing these styles grow as an artist. I can teach beginning to intermediate violin. But what I really love is teaching by ear, because that is how I learned! I can also use sheet music if that is better for you. I want to help you grow as a musician and will meet you where you are!
