About Eva
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music in String Pedagogy, with 6 years of experience teaching students from beginners to advanced performers. My approach combines technical training, repertoire practice, and expressive development, ensuring each student progresses at a comfortable pace while building skill and confidence. I prioritize a positive, motivating, and structured learning environment.
I create lessons that integrate fundamental exercises, technique refinement, and musical interpretation. Beginners build posture, bowing, and finger skills, intermediate learners expand technique and musicality, and advanced students focus on performance preparation and expressive nuance. My teaching encourages patience, consistent practice, and creative engagement with music.
Outside of teaching, I actively perform, study new repertoire, and explore pedagogical methods to bring fresh insights into lessons. Violin lessons are most effective when students balance technical accuracy with expressive interpretation. I focus on bowing techniques, finger placement, scales, intonation, vibrato, and musical phrasing. Lessons are designed to help learners gradually develop skill, confidence, and musicality while maintaining a positive, encouraging environment. Students are guided to practice methodically and perform with understanding, ensuring they gain both competence and expressive ability.
Beginners work on posture, basic bowing, finger exercises, and simple melodies. Intermediate students refine technique, explore more complex repertoire, develop vibrato, and improve musical interpretation. Advanced learners focus on performance preparation, advanced techniques, expression, and stylistic nuance. Each lesson incorporates step-by-step guidance, structured practice, and constructive feedback to support consistent growth.
Studying violin enhances focus, discipline, and emotional expression. Students develop confidence in their playing, learn to connect with music meaningfully, and acquire skills that extend beyond the instrument. My goal is to nurture technical mastery, expressive artistry, and a lifelong appreciation for music in every student.
