In scientific subjects, it is very important in college (up to second) to acquire a good solid foundation, to approach the rest of your studies calmly. It is therefore imperative at first to understand the course, but it is essential afterwards to train to acquire automatisms. For high school, you must understand the course and then train as much as possible on bac-type exercises to fully understand the expected requirements.
