About Megan
Hi! I'm Megan and I am currently completing VCE in a Melbourne selective school. I have had experience with working with children and I believe that I can deliver content in a way that is easily retained. Currently, English is my strongest subject as I am 1 year ahead of my expected level (Start of Year 12). I also genuinely enjoy teaching!

As a student myself and someone who works with children (part-time job), I believe that I can successfully deliver content to engage the students. I am happy to tutor anyone from grades Year 7 - Year 10 remotely in English as I have completed up to Year 11 of the Australian curriculum. I would run through the content of the respective grade requirement, going ahead of the curriculum if the student's ability permits. I mainly focus on how to structure essays (persuasive, narratives and informative) as this is a fundamental skill that mainly students learn when it is too late. I will also be sending out weekly prompts to check the understanding of the student for the particular essay. The essay will be written under timed conditions (30 minutes if it is for selective school preparation). After class I would then mark the essay, offering tips and changes to make. This would be the process over a few weeks but I'm happy to do lessons only occasionally for specific essays. Although I haven't had any official experience as a tutor, I have actively engaged with children and I have offered tutoring services to younger students. The typical length of my lessons would be an hour.

Excellent! I think that Megan's strengths as a tutor are that she goes through content with clarity, and this makes me understand what I'm learning even better. Her method is excellent, and I think that she is an excellent teacher.
- Hi! Dev is a great student and a keen as well as a quick learner. He was very confident during the session and answered all of the questions asked. Some things he may need to work on is working under selective school examination conditions, the power of linguistic devices and other small changes that could really take his writing to the next level!Megan's response :
Perfect! Good and systematic approach
- Hi! Ryan is a great student and a keen as well as a quick learner. He was very confident during the session and answered all of the questions asked. Some things he may need to work on is identifying nouns, determiners, modifiers and the spelling for complex words.Megan's response :
