About Mo
I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Primary) at UTS and have practical teaching experience in primary school classrooms in Sydney. Through my university studies and school placements, I have gained experience working with primary students of different ages, learning levels and individual needs.
I enjoy teaching because I love seeing students progress from feeling unsure about a concept to understanding it with confidence. I believe every child learns differently and at their own pace, so I aim to create a patient, positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new strategies and learning from mistakes.
As a future primary school teacher, I hope to support students not only in improving their math skills, but also in developing confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

Mandarin
I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual learning level, strengths and needs. I begin by identifying their current understanding and then use clear step-by-step explanations, visual supports, practical examples and targeted practice to develop their mathematical understanding. I focus on helping students understand why a method works, rather than simply memorising answers or procedures.
Lessons are typically 90-120 minutes and include explanation, modelling, guided practice and independent practice. I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Primary) at UTS and have practical experience teaching in primary school classrooms. My lessons are suitable for Kindergarten to Year 6 students who would like to strengthen their mathematical foundations, build confidence, improve problem-solving skills or receive additional support with schoolwork.
