About Amy
I am half way through my first year of Primary Education at USQ. I have a sister who is two years younger than me, who I have assisted throughout my schooling life. I studied general science at university to gain entry into my primary education course. So far at university, the subjects I have studied are English, Maths, Science and The Arts. I have also studied two other subjects, one being a 1st year prac subject and another one called thinking and act like a teacher. I am currently studying child development, hpe and another 1st year prac subject. I've always enjoyed studying the biology part of science in school and at university. I haven't tutored anyone as of yet, but I have assisted my sister with her assignments and peer reviewed my friends assignments to check for mistakes and the flow of paragraphs.

I would like to approach a lesson in two to three major steps as I observed on my placement (prac). Firstly, I would try to explicitly demonstrate or prompt how to complete the task step-by-step, the student would then complete the same activity with some assistance, I would then try to get the student to complete a similar activity by themselves. The focus is for the task to be primarily student focused so by the end of the lesson the student has gained enough confidence to complete the task themselves.
