About KM
I’m a bilingual Mandarin and English speaker and a Communication graduate from the University of Southern California (USC). Born and raised in Taiwan, I’ve also lived in mainland China and the United States, which has given me a deep understanding of how language and culture shape the way we communicate.
Growing up in Taiwan and experiencing life across different Chinese-speaking and Western environments allows me to bridge cultures naturally. I understand not only how Mandarin is spoken in different regions, but also how communication styles shift depending on context.
I’m passionate about helping students feel confident expressing themselves clearly and authentically. For me, language is more than vocabulary and grammar — it’s connection, cultural awareness, and the ability to navigate different environments with ease.

Each lesson is tailored to your goals, whether you’re a complete beginner, improving conversational fluency, preparing for business settings, or strengthening cross-cultural communication. I design structured sessions that combine speaking practice, listening training, useful sentence patterns, and real-world scenarios.
Because I was born and raised in Taiwan and have lived in mainland China and the United States, I also teach you how Mandarin varies across regions — so you’ll know how to adjust your tone, expressions, and communication style depending on the cultural context.
My goal is simple: help you build confidence, clarity, and cultural awareness so you can use Mandarin comfortably in real conversations.
