About Vaishnavi
I hold a Master's degree in Business Analytics from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York, USA, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from India. Having studied, lived and worked in the United States, English has been an important part of my academic, professional and everyday life.
My relationship with the language, however, started much earlier. My mother is an English professor, so I grew up in an environment where English, reading, writing and communication were always around me. Over the years, English became less of a subject for me and more of a language I genuinely enjoy using.
I have also taken the IELTS and GRE as part of my own journey towards studying abroad and scored well in both. Along with academic English, I am comfortable with everyday conversation, writing, presentations, speeches and professional communication.
What I bring to teaching is not a rigid "one correct way" of learning English. I understand that different people struggle with very different things. A school student may need help organizing an essay or preparing for a speech competition, while an adult may know English perfectly well on paper but struggle to speak confidently in a conversation.
I am patient, approachable and comfortable adapting the way I explain something to the person in front of me. I want students to feel free to ask questions, make mistakes and practice without worrying about being judged.
I am not here to make English feel more complicated. My goal is to help you understand it, use it and gradually become confident enough that you need less help from me.

English is not just a subject to study; it is something you become comfortable using. My classes are personalized around what you actually need English for and where you currently feel stuck.
For school students, I can provide support with English taught at school, including grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, comprehension, homework, exam preparation, essays, speeches, presentations, debates and other school activities. The aim is not simply to finish the work, but to help the student understand how to approach similar tasks independently.
For college students and adults, classes can focus on conversational English, fluency, vocabulary, grammar, writing and overall communication. If you understand English but hesitate while speaking, struggle to find the right words, translate everything in your head before responding, or simply want to communicate more naturally and confidently, we can work specifically on that.
Lessons do not have to follow a rigid, one-size-fits-all format. Depending on your goals, we might have conversations, discuss interesting topics, work through real-life situations, practice writing, correct recurring mistakes, prepare a presentation or speech, or focus on a particular area of grammar.
Having studied in the United States for my Master's degree, I also have experience using English extensively in academic, professional and everyday settings. I have personally taken both the IELTS and GRE and scored well, so I am also happy to share my experience, practice relevant English skills and help students preparing for similar exams. I do not position myself as a specialized IELTS or GRE coaching institute; my focus is on strengthening the underlying language and communication skills that are useful both for these exams and beyond.
Most importantly, I want my classes to be a comfortable place to practice. You should be able to make mistakes, ask questions, try again and speak without constantly worrying about being judged or corrected.
Whether the goal is better performance at school, stronger writing, more confident speaking, academic preparation or simply becoming more comfortable using English, we can shape the classes around what you actually need.
