About Ava
Hello! I am currently studying English and pre-law at the University of Toronto downtown. I spend a lot of my time volunteering by helping students with autism learn to read and write through my university. I enjoy crochet and I am a big fan of bouldering!

I focus on making reading and writing easy to understand and practical. I break down complex ideas into simple steps and explain them in a clear way. I use examples, guided practice, and feedback to help students improve. I also encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and express their own ideas confidently. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs and pace. I focus not just on getting the right answer, but on helping students understand why it’s correct. I aim to build confidence and make learning less stressful and more engaging. My lessons are best for elementary or middle school - high school students
